查理.帕克(CHARLIE.PARKER 1920--1955)爵士樂歷史上最偉大的中音薩克管演奏家，比勃普流派的創(chuàng)造人之一。邁爾斯.戴維斯曾說過：“爵士樂的歷史只需用兩個(gè)人的名字就可包括，那就是路易斯.阿姆斯特朗和查理.帕克。”由此可見，帕克在其它爵士音樂家心目中的位置。帕克1920年出生于堪薩斯城，13歲參加了學(xué)校樂隊(duì)，演奏單簧管，后改為中音薩克斯管。憑借超人的音樂天賦和勤學(xué)苦練，帕克很快就在爵士樂圈內(nèi)展露頭角。當(dāng)時(shí)非常有名的爵士音樂家肯尼.克拉克（KENNY.CLARKE鼓）和塞洛尼奧斯.蒙克（THELONIOUS.MONK鋼琴）專程到紐約去聽他演奏，并說服他轉(zhuǎn)到他們的俱樂部，與迪基.吉來斯皮（DIZZY.GILLESPIE小號(hào)）等高水平的音樂家一起演奏。很快，他們就創(chuàng)造了一種新的爵士樂流派——比勃普（BEBOP）。這種音樂要求演奏都有極其高超的演奏技巧和對(duì)和聲的深刻理解能力。他們的演奏經(jīng)常使其它音樂家目瞪口呆，根本無法加入到他們的行列中。帕克對(duì)薩克管演奏技巧和爵士音樂所作出的貢獻(xiàn)是巨大的，以至于在他死后，竟然找不出一位中音薩克管演奏家能和他相題并論！他的演奏風(fēng)格深深地影響著一代又一代的爵士音樂家！

Charlie Parker(1920--1955), the greatest alto saxophonist in jazz history, he was one of the founder about BEBOP jazz style. Miles Davis said: ”Just two names are enough to jazz music history, it’s Louis Armstrong and Charlie Parker.” It can be seen that the position of Parker was so important for most jazz musician. Parker was born in 1920 in the city of Kansas,he participate in the school band,when he was 13 years old, playing clarinet,and transfer to alto saxophone.By his amazing music talent and hard working, he quickly made a brilliant figure in jazz music world.In that period,the very famous jazz musician, Kenny Clarke (drummer) and Thelonious Monk (pianist) went to NewYork specially to hear his performance, and invited him to transfer to their club,cooperating with the excellent trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, and performing with their musician together.In a short time, they created the new jazz music style ----BEBOP. A form of jazz characterized by fast tempos, virtuoso technique, and improvisation based on harmonic structure. Their performance always showed incredible to the other musicians, it’s really hard to take a part in while they were playing. Parker made a great contribution to saxophone technique of performance and jazz music, so that there’s no anyone alto saxophonist that can compare with him ! His performance style deeply influenced generations of jazz musicians one by one.
